This survey is for Peoria area LGBTQ youth ages 13-24 living in Peoria, Fulton, Knox, LaSalle, Marshal, Putnam, Stark, Tazewell or Woodford counties. It is being done in partnership with Peoria City/County Health Department, CIADE, and local agencies and organizations to support the health and well-being of LGBTQ youth in the Peoria area. Participation and all responses are anonymous and completely confidential. It takes about 10-15 minutes to complete the survey. The website for the on-line version of the survey does not log your computer IP address or place any cookies on your computer. Completed paper surveys are placed in a sealed envelope, and given to the Project Coordinator for data entry. The data collected from the survey will be used to help local community agencies and groups create activities, programs and services for the Peoria area that reflect the needs & desires of LGBTQ youth like you.
There are several options for how to take the survey. You can complete the survey on-line. Or you can print a paper copy and drop it off to one of the people listed on the survey.

A limited number of optional $20 incentive gift cards are available to LGBTQ youth in the service area defined above who complete the survey. The on-line and paper versions of the survey have instructions on how to receive the incentive for your completed survey.

CIADE held a prom for LGBTQ High Schoolers and their Allies
on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in East Peoria. 33 area youth and their friends attended for a night of good food, friends and dancing. We look forward to an even bigger and better prom next year.
The theme A Night Under the Stars, Venetian Carnivale, with a dance floor surrounded by columns draped with lights. All Students age 14-20 in Central Illinois were invited to attend.

Peoria Pride 2009 was the first full scale Pride Festival held in Peoria.
The event was held at the CEFCU Center Stage on the Peoria Riverfront on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from noon-6:00 pm. With over 1,700 attendees from all over Central Illinois, 37 vendors and non-stop entertainment on the main stage and in the Starbuck's Cafe, the event exceeded all expectations. The Second Annual Peoria Pride will be held Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the same location.
